HVRSD Weekly Update for September 24
HVRSD
Thursday, September 24, 2020

I hope your school year is off to a smooth start given these unique circumstances.  Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this school year together. Please take note of these updates:

Schools are closed on Monday - District Schools and Offices will be closed on Monday, September 28 in Observance of Yom Kippur.  The holiday observance begins at sundown on September 27.  If your child requires any accommodations while observing this holiday please contact his/her teacher.

Website Update - We recently upgraded the HVRSD website and App so that all important district information can be found in one location. Based on your experience with the website and app, please share your feedback and suggestions for improvement using this survey.

Phase 3 Committee - As part of our return to school planning, we will establish an additional committee of district parents, students, and staff to review our Phase 3 plan that will hopefully be implemented on or around Thanksgiving break.  If you are interested in participating on this committee, please fill out this form.  One individual (one parent, one staff member and one student)  from each school will be randomly selected from those who complete the form.

The Weekly Focus is Back! This WEEKLY email release on Friday afternoons is intended to streamline communications between school and home by providing one regular update on topics of general interest, reminders, etc. We hope this helps reduce the amount of duplicate email you currently may be getting from multiple district sources.

The A/B Cohort schedules for October are posted on our school and district websites.

Election Day - Governor Murphy has mandated that all New Jersey Schools will be closed to in-person instruction on November 3, Election Day. This day will be a remote learning day for all HVRSD students.

Be on lookout for information from your building principal about Back to School Nights, Halloween, and Parent/Teacher conferences.

Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry - Can use your donations. The Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry continues to provide support for our community. Information is available here.
