CHS GARDEN PROJECT
Thanks to the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation, the PTO Board, Blue Moon Acres, and Pennington Day for providing us with generous grants and donations to partially fund our redesign of the garden.
We’re looking for additional help from parents, students and teachers.
Parents & Community Members – We’d love your help on any and all parts of the garden project and would especially love it if you’d like to make a contribution to support the garden. We need supplies, plants, and some additional funds to make the garden a usable outdoor classroom for the whole school. Please see the forms below to discover what materials and plants we still need to achieve our vision.
Teachers & Staff – We’d love your help on all aspects of the garden project as well. Most importantly, please make sure to let us know how you can use the garden to meet the needs of your classroom and the curriculum, so that we can make sure that our designers incorporate your needs. Send us your garden dreams (rain garden, vegetables, outdoor seating area, etc.) ASAP!
Students - We’re looking for help with all aspect of the garden from design to construction and maintenance. Under the guidance of our Volunteer Design Consultant, Russ Klockner (from Thomas Lee Fisher), 2016 CHS Graduate Daniel Nemec has generously volunteered to lead the charge in designing the garden layout (thanks Daniel!), but we’d love to get other interested students involved in the process. So, if you have a knack for design or gardening, please let us know so we can get you involved.
