The Capital Health Auxiliary's Children's House Committee provides cookies and other snacks for cancer patients undergoing treatment. Chemotherapy and radiation can make patients extremely fatigued and cause them to lose their appetites. These snacks bring them comfort and are greatly appreciated. Currently, the Auxiliary collects and distributes approximately 73 dozen cookies per month. In support of their cookie program, the CHATS club will be collecting store bought cookies, granola bars, individual boxes of raisins, pretzels, fish crackers and snack sized zip-lock bags. Due to allergy concerns, cookies containing peanut butter or nuts cannot be accepted. Donations can be dropped off in the bins outside of the main office and media center through March 1. Thank you in advance for your support.
